Without starting quarterback Carson Palmer, the Cardinals rode David Johnson to a 33-21 win against the 49ers at Levi's Stadium on "Thursday Night Football."
Johnson piled up 157 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, plus added three catches for 28 yards. Drew Stanton found Larry Fitzgerald twice in the end zone replacing Palmer, who was out with a concussion.
Arizona's defense forced three turnovers, had a safety and seven sacks as they improved to 2-and-3. Blaine Gabbert and Carlos Hyde each had rushing touchdowns in the loss. Jeremy Kerley compiled eight catches for 102 yards and a score for the Niners, who fell to 1-and-4.
