Autopsy: Marlins Pitcher Had Cocaine, Alcohol in His System

Toxicology reports show that Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez had cocaine in his system and was legally drunk when he died in a boating accident last month.  The 24-year-old Fernandez and two other men were killed when their speedboat slammed into a Miami Beach jetty in the early morning hours of September 25th.  All three men had alcohol in their system, but only Fernandez was legally drunk with a blood alcohol content nearly double the legal limit.

It's not yet determined who was the driving the boat.  An autopsy report released yesterday by the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner's Office listed the cause of death as "boat crash."
