U.S. Soccer Fires Coach Klinsmann

The U.S. men's national soccer team is moving on without head coach Jurgen Klinsmann.  U.S. soccer president Sunil Gulati announced Monday that Klinsmann has been fired.

The "New York Times" reports former U.S. coach Bruce Arena is considered the leading candidate to replace him.  The move comes on the heels of a 4-0 loss in Costa Rica last week that hurt the Americans' chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.  The 52-year-old Klinsmann went 55-27-and-16 during his tenure.
