Roger Federer has regained the upper hand over his nemesis Rafael Nadal. The 35-year-old Federer notched his 18th Grand Slam title by beating Nadal in five sets today to win the Australian Open.
Nadal had been victorious in six of the last eight Grand Slam finals against Federer. But the 17th-seeded Federer dispatched Nadal 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 to win his fifth Australian Open.
