WWE Mourns Turnbuckle Biter George 'The Animal' Steele

Professional wrestling fans are remembering George "The Animal" Steele.  The WWE says he has passed away at the age of 79.  The Detroit native turned pro in 1967 and grew to national fame with the then-WWF's rise in the 1980's.

Steele, whose real name was William James Myers, was very recognizable with his bald head, hairy body and green tongue.

His character was best known for biting open and chewing the corner turnbuckle pads.  Steele was also a longtime high school football and wrestling coach.
