The hometown team is enjoying the NBA All-Star Game. Pelicans big man Anthony Davis was named MVP of the All-Star Game after scoring a record 52 points in New Orleans helping the Western Conference to defeat the Eastern Conference, 192-182. Davis shot 26-of-39 and added 10 rebounds and two steals.
Russell Westbrook piled up 41 points, seven assists and five rebounds in only 20 minutes off the bench, while his former teammate Kevin Durant had a 21-point, 10-assist and 10-rebound triple double.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Eastern Conference with 30 points. Kyrie Irving chipped in 22 points, 14 helpers and seven boards in defeat.
