Steelers Owner Dan Rooney Dies At 84

The Steelers community is mourning the loss of Chairman Dan Rooney.  Rooney died Thursday at the age of 84.  His father, Art Rooney Sr., founded the Pittsburgh Steelers and he and son Dan went on to become the second father-son team to be enshrined in the NFL Hall of Fame.  Dan Rooney succeeded his father as president of the Steelers in 1975 and was inducted into the Hall in 2000.

Under Rooney's guidance, the Steelers won six Super Bowls, including three in the 1970s.
