Anthony Rendon put together the game of a lifetime as the Nationals smashed the Mets, 23-5, in D.C. Rendon went 6-for-6 with three homers, a double and a team-record 10 RBI.
Matt Wieters homered twice while Adam Lind and Bryce Harper had dingers of their own. The 23 runs are a franchise-record.
Matt Albers earned the win as the Nats prevented a three-game sweep. Noah Syndergaard gave up five hits and five runs before getting pulled in the second with a possible lat strain. He fell to 1-2 for New York, which is 10-14 overall.
