The Texas childhood home of legendary fastball pitcher Nolan Ryan is for sale. Ryan grew up in the Houston suburb of Alvin. The modest home is listed for $165,000. The listing says it was recently renovated because of fire damage. It has four bedrooms, a one car garage and the original refinished hard wood floors which survived the fire.
Ryan signed his first professional contract in 1965 with the New York Mets. He made his major league debut the next year. Ryan tossed seven no-hitters in his career.
