Yanks, Twins To Launch MLB Playoffs

The 162-game Major League Baseball regular season is done for 2017 and the postseason is on tap. Yesterday was the last day of regular season action.  The playoffs begin with the American League Wild Card Game on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium when New York ace Luis Severino takes the mound opposite the Twins Ervin Santana.  The winner moves on to face the Indians in the ALDS, which opens on Thursday.  The National League Wild Card Game will be on Wednesday with the Diamondbacks hosting the Rockies in Phoenix. Zack Greinke starts for Arizona, while Colorado goes with Jon Gray.  The Dodgers await the victor to start their NLDS matchup on Friday.

The other 2 divisional series are already set.  In the AL, Game 1 of the Red Sox versus Astros at Minute Maid Park is on Thursday.  That's followed by the Nationals welcoming the Cubs to DC in Game 1 for the NL on Friday.
