Colts Unveil Manning Statue

The Indianapolis Colts are honoring former quarterback Peyton Manning with a statue outside of Lucas Oil Stadium.  The statue, which depicts Manning throwing a pass, was unveiled in a ceremony outside of the stadium.  Local Indianapolis artist Ryan Feeney started building the statue in May of last year.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, former Colts GM Bill Polian, former Colts coach Tony Dungy, and Indiana native David Letterman were just a few of many guests at the ceremony. Manning spent 13 of his 17 NFL seasons with the Colts, guiding them to a pair of Super Bowl appearances and one championship.  The Colts drafted him with the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, and he led them to the playoffs 11 times.  Manning has the most passing yards and passing touchdowns in NFL history.
