Anne Frank Diary To Be Read At Italian Soccer Games

The Italian Soccer Federation says a passage from Anne Frank's diary will be read before matches this week to combat anti-semitism.  The plan was announced after Lazio team supporters littered a stadium with images of Holocaust victim and diarist Anne Frank wearing a jersey of rival team Roma. The readings will be combined with a minute's silence before several matches to promote Holocaust remembrance.

The passage that will be read includes the line, "I somehow feel that everything will change for the better, that this cruelty too shall end, that peace and tranquility will return once more."
