Papa John's Blames NFL Protests For Slumping Sales

Papa John's blames its slumping pizza sales on the continuing NFL protests.  In a conference call yesterday, company founder and CEO John Schnatter pointed to what he called poor leadership at the top in the NFL.  Schnatter said the practice of allowing players to kneel during the National Anthem is polarizing the country and causing a drop in television ratings.

Papa John's has pulled some of its ads from NFL games as a result.  Company stock is down almost 25% this year.
