Japan Star Ohtani To Get To Play In MLB In 2018

A new international star is expected to head to Major League Baseball for the 2018 season.  The move comes as MLB and the Players Association negotiators hammered out an agreement for a new posting system on Tuesday.  The deal will allow Japan's Shohei Ohtani to head to the United States.  Ohtani is a highly regarded 2 way player at age 23, but is coming off ankle surgery in October.

Ohtani went 42-and-15 with a 2.52 ERA as a pitcher the last 5 seasons, while hitting 48 homers across 403 games with the Nippon Ham Fighters.
