It may not have been the sophisticated escapes of the movies, but it worked just the same.
Georgia inmate Christopher Carroll is on the run after busting through a shower wall with a metal rod, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Guards thought Carroll was taking a shower in the Lamar County Jail shortly after midnight, but authorities say he instead used the rod he took from a table to make a hole big enough to shimmy through, per WSB-TV and 11Alive. He then vacated the jail itself by squeezing through an access door in a storage area before escaping the premises through a hole in the fence.
