Japan Offers To Host Peace Talks Over Jerusalem Controversy

Japan is inviting officials from the U.S., Israel and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to Tokyo for a 4-way meeting to restart the peace process.  Japan's Foreign Minister invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Abbas to talks earlier this week.  A Hebrew-language news site says Netanyahu is waiting on a response from the Trump administration before deciding if he'll attend.

Japan has been involved in an Israeli-Palestinian-Jordanian-Japanese venture in the Jordan Valley called the "Peace Corridor" for a decade.
