Report: North Korea Defector Immune To Anthrax

South Korean authorities say a soldier who defected from North Korea has developed antibodies against anthrax.  Authorities didn't identify the soldier, who defected through the demilitarized zone earlier this year.  A local news network said a South Korean intelligence official confirmed that the soldier had developed an immunity to anthrax by either exposure or vaccination.

The report said the discovery is causing concern in South Korea, which doesn't yet have a vaccine for the deadly disease.  North Korea has been suspected of developing biological weapons since 2015.
