Study: More Pregnant Women Using Marijuana

A new study says more pregnant women are using marijuana to deal with morning sickness nausea, heightened anxiety, and other discomforts.  According to a research letter in Tuesday's Journal of the American Medical Association, younger women are most likely to use weed to treat common pregnancy side effects.  The letter focuses on pregnant women in California from 2009 through 2016.

Researchers report marijuana use among a sample of pregnant women in California rose from 4.2% in 2009 to just over 7% last year.
