More Pregnant California Women Smoking Pot

More pregnant women in California are getting stoned.  A new study published this week in the Journal of the American Medical Association says pot use among pregnant women went up to 7.1% from just over 4% from 2009 to 2016.  The study finds that mothers-to-be are using the drug to help with anxiety and morning sickness.

Health officials say what pot does to an unborn baby is unclear.  Some say it may lead to low birth weight and developmental problems.
