New York Mayor Bill de Blasio says at least 12 people are dead from a fire in the Bronx. Among those killed is a 1-year-old child. Four other people are fighting for their lives after being pulled from the apartment near the Bronx Zoo. The FDNY rescued another 12 people who will survive.
De Blasio said the fire has been completely put out, but it will rank as one of the worst losses of life from fire in the city in many years.
