North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is touting his country's nuclear capabilities as his country celebrates the new year. In a speech on North Korean state-run media, Kim said the entire U.S. is within its missile range. The North Korean dictator also said the nuclear missile button is on his desk. He said those facts were not threats, but just reality. He noted that his country's nuclear capabilities are a deterrent to any U.S. threat which he claimed is the reason the U.S. cannot declare war on the North.
On a lighter note, Kim also expressed hope for a peaceful Winter Olympics in South Korea in February.
