Al Franken Expected To Officially Resign On Tuesday

Al Franken's time in the United States Senate is coming to a close.  The Minnesota Democrat is officially stepping down Tuesday following numerous accusations of sexual misconduct.  Franken over the past several weeks has made it clear that while he may be leaving the Senate, he's not going to give up his voice.  He's stressed that there are many important things left to do on issues like net neutrality, climate change and the economy.

Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith has been tapped to replace Franken by that state's governor, Mark Dayton.
