Apple To Release Fix For Chip Flaw

Apple will release a patch for the web browser on its iPhones, Macs and other devices vulnerable to hackers after chipmakers disclosed flaws affecting nearly every computing device.  Security researchers revealed Wednesday 2 major flaws in just about every computer chip manufactured in the past 20 years. One flaw called Meltdown affects only Intel chips, while another called Spectre affects nearly all others. Apple said all Mac and iOS devices are affected by the bugs.  Google and Microsoft already released statements telling users which of their products were vulnerable.

Microsoft is rolling out several updates to protect Surface devices from the flaws.
