Jeff Sessions Defends New Moves Against Marijuana

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is defending new moves against marijuana. The Justice Department will rescind a policy that eased enforcement of federal marijuana laws. The Obama-era policy focused on states where marijuana has been legalized or decriminalized.

In a statement, Sessions said it is time to "return to the rule of law." Marijuana use is illegal under federal law. The move could provoke some huge legal battles between several states and the Justice Department.  Sessions said federal prosecutors need all available tools to tackle the growing drug crisis in the U.S.
