Republican David Yancey Wins Virginia House Seat Lottery

Republican David Yancey has won a lottery drawing to win a contested Virginia House seat.  The seat is for Virginia's 94th District.  Yancey was tied with Democrat challenger Shelley Simonds before this morning's history lottery drawing. Republicans will keep their 51-seat majority thanks to Yancey's victory

A judge denied a request yesterday from Democrat Shelly Simonds to review the decision that declared a tie with Republican David Yancey.
