Celebrity Chef Offers Free Meal to Any Winner of Trump's Media Awards

A celebrity chef says lunch is on him for any journalist that wins President Trump's "Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards" tomorrow night.

"To all the winners for Mondays’s Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards of @realdonaldtrump I want to contribute with lunch on me in any of my restaurants as a reward...."

Trump tweeted last week that he would be announcing the awards Monday night at "5:00 o'clock" with subjects covering "Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media."

José Andrés, a vocal critic of Trump, canceled a planned restaurant at the president's D.C. hotel after Trump announced his candidacy with a speech that many found to be racist.

Andrés has offered freebies to voice his discontent with the president in the past. Last year, the celebrity chef said anyone who worked at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau could come in to any of his Washington D.C. restaurants for a free drink during disputes over who was in charge of the agency.
