A Powerball ticket sold at a Merrimack ,New Hampshire convenience store has residents wondering who is now $560 million richer after winning the sixth-largest jackpot on record.

Both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots had jumped in recent weeks, and both games had winners, Friday and Saturday nights on what officials are calling a historic lottery weekend.

Someone in Florida hit the first jackpot Friday night winning the Mega Millions prize which had skyrocketed to a cool $450 million.

Twenty-four hours later, it was the Powerball's turn with the winner getting $560 million after the jackpot had gone unwon since Oct. 13th. Over the last few months, the jackpot ballooned into the eighth largest lotto prize in U.S. history.

Powerball announced that a winning ticket had been sold in the New Hampshire town of Merrimack, fifty miles north of Boston. Sam Safa, the owner of the store that sold the winning ticket, was awarded $75,000 for selling Saturday's winning ticket.

Safa told USA Today he was ecstatic for whoever had won and hoped they were a local.

"Can you believe someone just walked into my store and won?! Most of my customers are local, and I'm hoping it's someone local. But whoever it is, congratulations to them."

The winning Powerball numbers: 12-29-30-33-61 and Powerball 26. Odds of winning the grand prize are just north of 292 million to 1 according to lotto officials. The winner can take a lump sum, or the full amount in 30 annual payments.

The Mega Millions winner, purchased their ticket at a 7-11 in Port Richey, Florida. They'll bring home the 11th largest jackpot on record and fourth-largest Mega Millions jackpot. Lotto officials say a player has to beat odds of 302 million to one to score the grand prize.

Friday's Mega Millions winner has 180 days to claim their ticket, but only 60 if they want to claim the lump sum of $281.2 million.
