In what can only be described as the horrifying end result of every post-apocalyptic movie where robots take over, a pair of pole-dancing robots have stolen the show at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
This year's CES has already featured a variety of eye-popping technology; from self-driving cars to the latest in wireless charging. But people can't stop talking about the futuristic exotic dancers currently on display down the street at Sapphire Gentlemen's Club.
Meet Triple CPU and R2DD, the world's very first robo-strippers. The two glossy, white-finished robots with cameras for faces, are dancing on the pole all week for the futurists attending CES.
The club's owner, George Wilson the IV says the robots will be performing all week.
"There's a sequence of four moves programmed into each one," Wilson said.
The robo-strippers were designed by British artist Giles Walker who says he has a passion for building animatronic robots. Other projects have included his robot creations recreating the Last Supper, prisoners and more.
Not since John Henry swung his mighty steel drill has there been a more important struggle between (wo)man and machine. We're not saying it's time to study up on how to defeat our robot overlords, we're just saying now might be a good time to learn some computer programming.
