Arpaio questioned the authenticity of the report, citing the recent tell-all book about the Trump White House. Trump pardoned Sheriff Joe after he was found guilty of contempt of court for violating a judge's order on immigration law enforcement.
Arpaio announced this week he's running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Arizona Republican Jeff Flake.
