If trying to find a new job gives you anxiety, you're not alone. A new CareerBuilder survey shows 69% of Americans categorize job hunting as "highly stressful." Workers in health care and finance reported the highest level of stress caused by a job hunt. About 43% said they would be more at-ease going on a blind date and 1 in 5 said waiting for results from a doctor is less stressful than finding a job.
10% said job hunting would cause them more strain than going in for major surgery, cage diving in shark-infested waters or even attending the funeral of a family member.
