A California woman is dead just days after being diagnosed with the flu. Jim Collins says he couldn't believe how quickly girlfriend Katie Thomas died earlier this month because of how healthy she was. An X-ray did show the 40-year old had a chest infection, and her official cause of death is sepsis. Collins is swearing not to take the flu lightly anymore.
Around 40 people have died in California during the current flu season.
