There's no deal yet but the Senate will take a vote today aimed at ending the government shutdown. A key procedural vote is set for noon, Eastern time. Republicans and Democrats are continuing negotiations on a way out of the shutdown that started over the weekend. That's when the government ran out of money. Republicans are proposing a funding extension to February 8th.
The Republicans also say they are committed to take up the so-called Dreamer issue separately and soon.
