A Hawaii soldier is being accused of planning to attack a Honolunu military base as a suicide bomber. The "Star-Advertiser" reports that court documents unsealed this week indicate that Ikaika Erik Kang revealed his desires to a confidential source. He allegedly said he planned to leave the military after getting a promotion, join ISIS and return to attack the Oahu base.
The 35-year-old is charged with trying to give material support to a terrorist organization. He's being held without bail.
