President Donald Trump is ripping Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer after the New York Democrat pulled an earlier offer to support funding for Trump's border wall. Schumer told the White House yesterday he's withdrawing the offer. Trump reacted with a tweet last night that read "Cryin' Chuck Schumer fully understands, especially after his humiliating defeat, that if there is no Wall, there is no DACA." He added "We must have safety and security, together with a strong Military, for our great people!" Schumer said yesterday his offer of more than $1.6 billion for a wall was part of negotiations last Friday aimed at avoiding a government shutdown.
It was based on giving protection to young immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children.
