White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders says Republicans agree that there must be a longterm fix for the Dreamers, hundreds of thousands of young immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children. During a briefing Tuesday, Sanders said a broader immigration deal must include border security and an end to chain migration and visa lottery programs. She argued that it is "on Congress" to get legislation on the President's desk.
The fate of the Dreamers was a key issue in the three day government shutdown that ended Monday night.
